OUR STORY

How tulse hill Estate unites was formed

We are a group of residents who came together when organisers from High Trees Community Development Trust carried out a listening campaign on our estate.

This listening campaign identified that Tulse Hill Estate residents love where they live for the most part, particularly their neighbours, transport links and the park, but there were also significant areas of concern for residents. These concerns covered structural damp and disrepair, environment and waste, wellbeing and safety.

The conversations were captured in a 'listening report' which can be found here

We now meet twice a week with aim of improving life on the estate for all residents. For now we are prioritising the resolution of structural damp and mould issues across our estate.

what is community organising

Community organising is the work of bringing people together to take action around their common concerns and overcome social injustice. Community organisers reach out and listen, connect and motivate people to build their collective power.

We are supported by High Trees Community Action team, more information about Community Organising and their work can be found here.
